Gary Hoffman is a healthcare executive sought-after for his expertise in leading medical staff and executive teams in today’s highly regulated, complex healthcare environment. Passionate about providing care for the disadvantaged, he serves on the Board of Health Share of Oregon. In this capacity, he contributes to leading the transformation to Value Based healthcare, providing him with knowledge and skills to help other healthcare leaders thrive in a complex, fast-paced, and socially-aware setting.
Gary enjoys leading through change. He is the Chief of the Women and Children’s Division at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, a 500+ bed tertiary referral center in Portland, Oregon. As a founding member of his own practice, he led the transition of a small group practice into a highly resilient organization recognized as one of the largest single-specialty private Ob-Gyn groups in the nation. Gary received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Oregon Health & Science University. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his executive coaching certification program at the Hudson Institute of Coaching. In his coaching practice, Gary works with current and future healthcare leaders and enjoys working with both executive and physician leaders who each bring their own experiences and expertise to their dyad roles.
Gary finds balance by maintaining a curiosity for life-long learning, spending time outdoors, keeping a sense of humor, and most importantly, by relaxing with his wife, family, and friends.
