Step 4: Ongoing Support
Step 4 in the MEDI executive coaching process is focused on ongoing support and communication, with the ultimate goal of increasing executive and physician leadership skills.
Following the two-day workshop, the coaches and executive or physician routinely connect by phone based on a schedule designed by the client and coach. During the call, MEDI coaches review the status of the goals and tactics being used and discuss any other issues the executive or physician may be facing. The coaches serve as a sounding board and provide authentic feedback. The coaching engagement includes a minimum of three additional one-day, off-site coaching sessions. During these meetings, the coaches and executive or physician review the progress of the goals, work on specific behaviors related to the goals, and address other issues as needed.
