Bill Kent has been an executive coach for almost 20 years and has 35 years of healthcare experience. As an executive coach, Dr. Kent utilizes his professional experience as a healthcare executive in senior management positions, including that of chief executive officer and clinician. As an executive coach and consultant, he has worked with and within nonprofit and for-profit organizations within the healthcare, financial services and banking, higher education, manufacturing, consulting and hospitality industries.
Dr. Kent’s healthcare experience includes leadership development and executive coaching in most healthcare settings. He has worked with community stand-alone hospitals, faith-based healthcare systems, for-profit hospital systems, physician-led medical group organizations and academic medical centers. He also has worked with medical schools and medical school leadership. This includes physician and non-physician leaders.
His expertise includes leadership performance, transition management, organizational culture assessments, strategic planning, strategic thinking, executive team performance, succession planning, the on-boarding of executives/physician leaders and Board development.
Bill enjoys his work as an executive coach because it enables him to utilize his experience as an administrator/leader, consultant, and clinician. He makes a commitment to the leaders and organizations that engage him and understands that his role is to partner with the leader to improve that leader’s effectiveness in their current and future roles. He appreciates the importance of the mission of healthcare and challenges facing today’s healthcare leaders.
Bill earned his Doctoral degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado. His dissertation focused on organizational mergers and acquisitions and the impact on employee/ organizational performance. He also received his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University and Bachelors degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
