Andrew W. Allen

Andy Allen has over 35 years of healthcare experience, holding various executive positions in hospitals and health systems across the country. Most recently, Andy served as interim CEO in Saginaw, Michigan for his previous employer, Ascension Health, the country's largest not-for-profit and largest Catholic Healthcare System with $13 billion in revenues. Before his retirement from Ascension, he held various positions, including the Operating Group President for half of Ascension's 67 hospitals in the Western and Southern states. In that role, he was responsible for mutually developing performance outcomes, establishment of individual CEO leadership goals, and working with local governance for CEO evaluation.
Andy also served as the Senior Vice President for Leadership Development and Succession Planning for Ascension, leading to his interest in healthcare coaching and leadership. In that role, he worked with local governance and CEO's to establish goals for identifying senior leadership competencies and opportunities for continued development.
Prior to facilitating the merger of the Carondelet Health System as its President and CEO based in St. Louis into Ascension in December of 2002, Andy also served as the Chief Operating Officer for Carondelet.
Andy also served as the President and CEO of St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio, and the Chief Operating Officer of that Institution and others in Iowa, Arizona, and Ohio.
